14-Year-Old Angela Short Killed In Chicago, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on August 5th in Chicago, Illinois.  14-year-old Angela Short lost her life when she was struck by a vehicle at a CTA bus station at W. 79th Street and Racine Avenue.  A gold Mercedes-Benz went through a red light at a high rate of speed and collided with a Jeep. The Jeep, in turn, crashed into the mother and daughter. Angela succumbed to injuries at the scene, CPD said. No charges or citations have yet been issued in the crash which remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
