15-Year-Old Shawn Toews Killed In Salt Creek Township, OH Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on April 12th in Salt Creek Township, Ohio. 15-year-old Shawn Toews lost his life when the dirt bike he was a passenger on collided with a passenger vehicle that failed to yield at a stop sign along Criswell Road. The crash occurred when a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica driven by 32-year-old Krista M. Ware failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with the Honda bike. Toews was a passenger on the Honda and was ejected along with the driver after impact. Toews sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Akron Children's Hospital where he tragically died. The driver was fatally injured and declared dead at the site of the crash. The OSHP continues to investigate the incident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
