16-Year-Old Lorenzo DeLeon Killed In Lindale, TX Accident

Victim was a sophomore at Lindale Independent School

 Tragic accident that occurred on February 17th in Lindale, Texas. 16-year-old Lorenzo DeLeon, a sophomore in the Lindale Independent School District, was killed in a crash on Smith County Road 472. Lorenzo was a passenger in a vehicle that traveled off the road as the driver tried to avoid an animal in the roadway. He was rushed to UT Health East Texas hospital in Tyler, where, sadly, he was pronounced dead. The Superintendent released a statement, which in part read, “We are saddened by this loss to our school community. Lindale ISD sends its deepest condolences to the student’s family. Please pray for all that were impacted as a result of this tragedy.” Counselors and local youth pastors were made available for students wanting help or assistance in dealing with the tragic loss. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
