17-Year-Old Toyona Smith Killed In Raleigh, NC Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, March 5 at around 7:30 PM in Raleigh, North Carolina. 17-year-old Toyona Smith was sadly killed when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver in the 1500 block of Old Milburnie Road. A group of four people, including Smith, were standing in the road while trying to fix a flat tire. Smith and another girl were walking southbound when a black Toyota pick up truck hit them and fled the scene. Smith was rushed to a local hospital where she sadly later died. The accident remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
