18-Year-Old Deandre Sydney Killed In Pine, MN AccidentThe crash remains under investigationPosted: 2 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on October 15 in Pine, Minnesota. 18-year-old Deandre Sydney was tragically killed in a DUI-related crash at Pokegama Lake Road and Fairway Road SW. 19-year-old Anastasia Nicole Nelson was northbound and failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The car left the roadway and crashed into a tree on the passenger side. Sydney was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies believed Nelson was under the influence of alcohol and she was later charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide and one count of criminal vehicular operation with great bodily harm. The sheriff's office continues to investigate.
