18-Year-Old Marissa July-McCuin Killed In Tyler, TX Accident

Pedestrian struck on State Highway 64

Tragic accident that occurred on April 24th in Tyler, Texas. 18-year-old Marissa July-McCuin was fatally struck by a car as she attempted to cross State Highway 64. She was struck in the westbound outside lane of the highway. McCuin was transported to a nearby hospital, where she sadly succumbed to injuries. An arrest has been made in this connection, and authorities identified the driver of the striking car as Justin Pierce. He was booked into Smith County Jail on charges of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and accident involving death. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
