She was struck in the westbound outside lane of the highway. McCuin was transported to a nearby hospital, where she sadly succumbed to injuries. An arrest has been made in this connection, and authorities identified the driver of the striking car as Justin Pierce. He was booked into Smith County Jail on charges of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and accident involving death.
