18-Year-Old Westin Justen Injured In Aitkin, MN Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on January 2nd in Aitkin, Minnesota. 18-year-old Westin Justen was seriously injured in a head-on snowmobile accident on a groomed trail alongside U.S. Highway 169. A preliminary report stated that a snowmobile was northbound on a straight, flat section of the groomed trail, while Justen was traveling south. For reasons still under investigation, the snowmobiles collided head-on. Justen suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.
