19-Year-Old Eryk McPherson Injured In Central Islip, NY Accident

Crash at Vanderbilt Avenue

Tragic accident that occurred on October 13 in Central Islip, New York. 19-year-old Eryk McPherson was seriously injured after being struck by a driver impaired by drugs at Vanderbilt Avenue. He was allegedly struck by a Honda sedan driven by 21-year-old David Alfaro. McPherson was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries. Alfaro was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
