22-Year-Old Cruz Ibarra Involved In Plant City, FL Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, February 7th at about 1:25 a.m. in Plant City, Florida. 22-year-old Cruz Ibarra, was arrested after fleeing the scene of a fatal crash on Interstate 4 that killed a 25-year-old passenger. Ibarra was driving west on I-4  when his SUV veered into the center median and overturned. The male passenger in the SUV was ejected from the vehicle, and sadly died at the scene. Witnesses reported that they saw Ibarra run from the scene. He was later apprehended at his home, and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail, where he is being held in lieu of bail. The accident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
