22-Year-Old James King Injured In Suffolk, NY Accident

Crash on Saratoga Avenue and Elwood Road

Tragic accident that occurred on October 12 in Suffolk, New York. 22-year-old James King was seriously injured when a vehicle ran a stop sign, colliding with the rideshare he was a passenger in at Saratoga Avenue and Elwood Road. King's family stated publicly that they were receiving conflicting information about the incident. They were first told that King’s Uber was hit by a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old man. The next day at the hospital, King’s family was informed that the driver of the car responsible for the crash was a 17-year-old who happened to be the son of a Suffolk County detective. King suffered a serious brain injury in the accident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
