22-Year-Old Jennifer Fernandez Involved In McHenry, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on July 31st in McHenry, Illinois.  22-year-old Jennifer Fernandez was identified as the driver of a vehicle that was traveling the wrong-way on Interstate 90 when it struck a van and killed five children and the driver. According to the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred when an Acura TSX driven by Fernandez hit the van while allegedly traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes. As a result of the collision, both vehicles became engulfed in flames.  Five children were killed in the wreck as well as the female driver.  The crash remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
