23-Year-Old Mariah Lucas Injured In Washougal, WA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday February 12th in Washougal, Washington. 23-year-old Mariah Lucas was one of five victims injured in a head-on wreck on State Highway 14. Reports say a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche was traveling east, near Milepost 19, when its driver attempted to pass another car using the westbound lane. As a result, the pickup collided with a 1997 Jeep Cherokee driving west. Lucas, a passenger in the pickup, was injured and life flighted  to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. No information was given on her condition. Troopers said passing in the oncoming lane contributed to the crash, which remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
