Filipek was operating a Jeep Cherokee when a Dodge Journey, driven by 59-year-old Jacklynn Marlyne Backowski pulled out in front of her. As a result, the vehicles collided. Filipek and the two children were transported to Essentia Health, St. Joseph’s Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
