24-Year-Old Jordan Filipek Injured In Fort Ripley TWP, MN Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, July 2nd at around 4:58 PM in Fort Ripley Township, Minnesota. 24-year-old Jordan Nicole Filipek, and two children in her SUV, were injured when their vehicle struck a driver that pulled in front of them on Highway 371. Filipek was operating a Jeep Cherokee when a Dodge Journey, driven by 59-year-old Jacklynn Marlyne Backowski pulled out in front of her. As a result, the vehicles collided. Filipek and the two children were transported to Essentia Health, St. Joseph’s Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. The crash remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers to the victims.
