24-Year-Old Richard Avery Injured In Endicott, NY AccidentThe crash remains under investigationPosted: 3 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on Monday October 11, at around 2 PM in Endicott, New York. 24-year-old Richard Avery was seriously injured after being struck by a stolen vehicle in a high speed pursuit on Squires Avenue. 20-year-old Brandon Carlson stole a pick up truck, prompting Avery to jump in the back in an attempt to prevent the theft. Avery fell out of the truck and his leg was run over. He was taken to Wilson Medical Center and then transferred to a Syracuse hospital. Carlson was later captured and arrested by police after crashing into another vehicle and fleeing on foot. Carlson now faces multiple criminal charges. The crash remains under investigation.
