25-Year-Old Sydney Dowson Involved In Sangamon, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on August 26 in Sangamon, Illinois. 25-year-old Sydney Dowson was involved in an accident that killed a pedestrian along Illinois Route 29. Dowson was driving a 2016 Honda CRV when she hit a man walking northwest. The county coroner sadly declared the pedestrian deceased at the site of the crash. His identity has not been released. The incident remains under investigation by the ISP and the coroner's office.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
