25-Year-Old Ty Burks Injured In Davis, CA Accident

The accident is under investigation by the CHP

Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, January 16 at around 12:45 PM in Davis California. 25-year-old Ty Burks was seriously injured when the vehicle that he was a passenger in crashed on County Road 102. Zachary Coker, the driver,  is suspected to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. Coker was traveling southbound when he lost control of his BMW and hit a utility pole, causing both electrical and phone lines to come down. The BMW then became engulfed in flames, spreading to a nearby field and causing a small brushfire. Both Burks and Coker were taken to UC Medical Center with major injuries. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
