26-Year-Old Zhon Sherman Killed In Brooklyn, NY AccidentSuspect charged with vehicular manslaughter Posted: 3 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on April 22nd in Brooklyn, New York. 26-year-old Zhon Sherman lost his life when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by 64-year-old Hector Ortiz who was attempting a left turn at the intersection of Avenue P and West 4th Street. Sherman was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained major injuries to his head and body. He was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center where he sadly succumbed to his injuries. Police allege Ortiz displayed signs of impairment at the scene and admitted to using marijuana and methadone the day of the incident. Ortiz was charged with vehicular manslaughter, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
