27-Year-Old Melia Gray Killed In Pismo Beach, CA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

 Tragic accident that occurred on January 18th in Pismo Beach, California. 27-year-old Melia Rose Gray was tragically killed in a suspected DUI motor vehicle crash on Highway 101 . The victim was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo with major injuries. Sadly, she was pronounced dead on Tuesday. CHP investigators said that 55-year-old Tammy Mae Silkwood was driving southbound when she lost control of her Honda Accord and struck a guardrail. The impact caused the Honda to spin across both lanes of freeway traffic before traveling down an embankment, where she struck a tree. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and causing injuries. CHP has opened an investigation, and anyone with information about the tragic incident was urged to call 805-594-8700. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
