28-Year-Old Bethany Burch Killed In Wilkes, NC Accident

DUI wreck on Balls Mills Road

Tragic accident that occurred on February 5th in Wilkes, North Carolina. 28-year-old Bethany Morgan Burch was tragically killed when a truck overturned in a suspected DUI crash on Balls Mill Road near NC 115. Troopers reported that a Chevrolet truck swerved left of the centerline and ran off the roadway. The truck then hit a tree and overturned. Burch, a passenger in the truck, was declared dead at the scene of the accident. Troopers suspect that alcohol contributed to the crash. The driver of the vehicle was was charged with DWI, and additional charges are pending. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
