The gunman, who died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, was identified as 43-year-old Anthony Dwayne McRae. McRae was not affiliated with the university. The five wounded remain in critical condition, Dr. Denny Martin of Sparrow Hospital in Lansing said Tuesday morning. Police have not given victims’ names or ages.
