Sparta was operating a vehicle when a northbound Ford F-150 pickup truck lost control, traveled into oncoming traffic, and struck his vehicle head-on.Edwards, a 7th grade teacher at Central Wilkes Middle School, was sadly pronounced dead at the site of the crash.
