31-Year-Old Michael Garris Injured In New Bern, NC Accident

Victim struck at intersection of First and Rhem streets

Tragic accident that occurred on Wednesday, December 23 at around 5:50 PM in New Bern North Carolina. 31-year-old Michael Garris was injured in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash near the intersection of first Street and Rhem Street. No description of the vehicle that fled the scene has been made available. Anyone with information is urge to call the traffic enforcement unit at 252-672-4272. The victim was airlifted to a Greenville Hospital. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
