A tragic accident occurred on April 19 in Victorville, California, when 32-year-old William Castro Vargas was struck by a vehicle on Bear Valley Road near Mesa View Drive. The crash happened just before 1 a.m., and tragically, Vargas was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported that a Chevrolet Impala fled after the crash. A 59-year-old man from Phelan was later arrested on suspicion of murder and hit-and-run. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family with funeral expenses. It can be found here.
