33-Year-Old Dakota Powell Killed In Tyler, TX Motorcycle Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, December 18 at about 6:15 PM in Tyler Texas at the intersection of Van highway, and loop 323. 33-year-old Dakota Powell a former patrol officer tragically died when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by an SUV in the westbound turn lane. Powell was rushed to UT Health Center, Beckham, where he was sadly pronounced dead. Powell who was well liked in the community leaves behind a wife and two children. The crash remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
