The driver blew through a red light on Front Street and slammed into an SUV in the intersection. After impact, the SUV overturned while the minivan caught on fire. The driver of the SUV, identified as Lacey Fredrick, had her arm outside of the vehicle's window at the time of the crash and sustained serious blunt force trauma in addition to an arterial bleed. Due to her injuries, Fredrick required an emergency amputation of her lower left arm and hand. The driver of the minivan was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and failure to comply.
