33-Year-Old Landon Crabtree Killed In Johnston, IA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on June 25th in Johnston, Iowa.  33-year-old Landon Crabtree lost his life when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by an alleged drunken driver along Northwest Beaver Drive. 25-year-old Makenna Kathleen Streff was operating a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound when she failed to properly yield and struck the Harley Davidson. Crabtree was rushed to Methodist Hospital in De Moines where he sadly succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities determined Streff had a blood alcohol content above the legal limit and charged her with operating while under the influence and failing to yield on a left turn. The ISP continues to investigate the incident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
