The victim was standing outside a vehicle in the left westbound lanes of the Belt Parkway after a minor fender bender. That is when, a Nissan Rogue driving at a high rate of speed, hit the police car then struck the victim. The victim was thrown over the median and onto the eastbound lanes. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 35-year-old Audrey Edmond, she now faces charges of manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, speeding, and driving while intoxicated. The crash remains under investigation and no other information has been made available at this time.
