36-Year-Old Shantel Hamilton Killed In Merced, CA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on June 6th in Merced, California. 36-year-old Shantel Hamilton was riding her scooter near the intersection of 26th and G streets when she was struck and killed by a vehicle described by officials as a 2011 to 2014 Grey BMW 5 Series car. Hamilton was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene after the crash. Police say the suspect car has front-end damage. Anyone with information about this tragic incident was urged to call Officer McKeeman at (209) 388-7752. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
