38-Year-Old Ryan Szelagowski Killed in Carlsbad, CA Accident

A tragic accident that occured in Carlsbad, California, on April 2, claimed the life of 38-year-old Ryan Szelagowski. The incident occurred around 4:55 a.m. in the 6600 block of Carlsbad Boulevard. Authorities say Szelagowski was first struck by a Kia sedan and was able to stand before being hit again by a second vehicle, which fled the scene. He was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, where he was pronounced dead later that afternoon. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
