41-Year-Old Elijah Cates Killed In St. Petersburg, FL AccidentMotorcycle accident on 1st Ave. NPosted: 3 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on March 20th in St. Petersburg, Florida. 41-year-old Elijah Cates was killed after a vehicle turned into the path of his motorcycle, triggering a deadly collision. A red Mini Cooper was driving east on 1st Avenue North in the center lane, while Elijah Cates was riding his bike in the north curb lane. The car began changing lanes and made a turn onto 30th Street North in front of Cates' motorcycle. The two crashed, resulting in major injuries to Cates. Cates was brought to Bayfront Hospital; sadly, he succumbed to injuries, the St. Petersburg Police Department said. The car driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
