42-Year-Old Marcos Away Killed In Victorville, CA Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on January 1st in Victorville, California. 42-year-old Marcos Amay, was tragically killed after being struck by a woman who was operating a vehicle under the influence. The wreck occurred on Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road when the victim was walking south and was hit by a car traveling west. Following the crash, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The driver was later tracked by authorities and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, causing death, hit and run resulting in death, and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. The woman behind the striking car, Desirae Monique Corral, was booked at the High Desert Detention Center. The victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
