The victim was traveling in a Kia Soul driven by Chester Lee Simmons that left the roadway, entered the median, and went airborne. The Kia then struck a bridge pillar and came to rest on its top on railroad tracks. Sadly, Cook died due to injuries sustained in the crash. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident.
