The vehicle then rotated counterclockwise, veered off the left side of the road, and collided with a tree on the passenger side. Following the crash, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. A passenger in the car, Adam Durden, succumbed to injuries before the arrival of authorities.
