A tragic accident occurred on April 10 in San Diego when 45-year-old David Montgomery Jr. of Oceanside was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash. Authorities reported that a GMC pickup truck, traveling at high speed, veered off Harbor Island Drive and crashed into the San Diego Bay around 9:05 p.m. A Port of San Diego Harbor Police dive team recovered Montgomery from the submerged vehicle. He later died from his injuries at Scripps Mercy Hospital on Saturday. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
