Jimenez was picking up her kids from school and crossing the intersection when two cars collided at 60th Street and Folsom Boulevard. Sadly, many students and their children witnessed the accident. In a statement, school district officials said the incident “will undoubtedly result in a range of responses, based on their exposure, prior experiences and development and possibly trigger other negative memories and emotions.” The school district offered help for students, teachers and parents dealing with trauma anger grief.
