47-Year-Old Donna Denson Killed In Danville, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, August 11 at around 5:36 PM in Danville, Illinois. 47-year-old Donna Denson was tragically killed when she was struck by a vehicle in the 1600 block of Edgewood. 24-year-old Shawana Highler has been charged with aggravated battery and reckless conduct when she allegedly intentionally drove through the courtyard and hit the victim and an 18-year-old. Anyone with information is asked to call Danville Police at 217-431-2250, or call Vermilion County Crime Stoppers at 217-446-TIPS. The victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene and we send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
