A tragic accident occurred on April 16 in Chula Vista when 47-year-old Josue Calderon Alcala was killed in a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV. The crash happened at around 5:36 p.m. on East Orange Avenue. According to initial reports, Alcala was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound when an Audi SUV traveling westbound turned left onto Max Avenue, striking Alcala in the intersection. The Chula Vista resident died from blunt force injuries at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
