Tragic accident that occured on Saturday April 17th at around 10:30 PM in Lakeland, Florida. 48-year-old Blanca Amaya was tragically killed when she was struck by a motor vehicle along U.S. Highway 98. Amaya was attempting to cross the road and was struck by a vehicle that accelerated as the traffic light turned green. Ms. Amaya was transported to an area hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim
