49-Year-Old Michael Gachko Injured In Summit, NJ Accident

Pedestrian struck on Route 80

Tragic accident that occurred on January 8th in Summit, New Jersey. 49-year-old Michael Gachko was flown to a hospital with serious injuries after a motorist struck him while he was attempting to cross Route 80. The collision happened when the victim parked his vehicle on the shoulder of the eastbound lanes and began crossing the highway. It was then that a Chevrolet pickup truck hit Gachko near milepost 36.6. Paramedics transported Gachko to a hospital with injuries believed to be serious.
