50-Year-Old Gerald Rigg Jr. Injured In Mesopotamia, OH AccidentThe crash remains under investigationPosted: 4 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on Sunday, April 4 at around 3:35 PM in Mesopotamia, Ohio. 50-year-old Gerald Rigg Junior was seriously injured when his vehicle was struck head on by another driver on State Route 87. Steven Drotar failed to negotiate a curve and veered into the westbound lane striking Rigg’s vehicle. Rigg was rushed to Geauga University Hospital and then life flighted to Cleveland University Hospital with life threatening injuries. Drotar died from injuries sustained in the crash.
