50-Year-Old Joseph Lewis Injured In Merced, CA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, October 10 in Merced, California. 50-year-old Joseph Lewis was seriously injured when he was struck by an under the influence driver who failed to stop at a stop sign at the Edminster Road and Third Avenue intersection.  The driver of a GMC Sierra was headed south when he failed to yield to traffic and struck the victims' Dodge Caravan. The driver was identified as 31-year-old Mario Hernandez, and he was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence. The crash remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
