53-Year-Old Corey Claybrook Killed In Newark, NJ Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on October 13 in Newark, New Jersey. 53-year-old Corey Claybrook was fatally injured when he was struck by a hit-and-run motorist along Springfield Avenue in the 600 block. Claybrook was taken to a local hospital, where he was tragically declared deceased. The driver involved fled the scene but a suspect, a 29-year-old Newark man, was later identified and arrested. He was charged with death by auto, leaving the scene of a crash, and failure to render aid to an injured victim, the office said. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
