57-Year-Old Debra Kaczur Injured In Salem, IL Accident

The accident remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, March 12 at around 5:59 PM in Salem, Illinois. 57-year-old Debra Kaczur was injured when her vehicle was rear ended on northbound Interstate 57. She was struck from behind by 41-year-old John Heil, who was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and following too closely. The victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. The accent remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
