58-year-old Donna Shizuko Okamoto killed in Pala, CA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

The tragic accident occurred in Pala, CA, on March 16. Donna Shizuko Okamoto, 58-year-old, lost her life in a head-on collision on State Route 76. According to the California Highway Patrol, Okamoto was driving a Mitsubishi SUV westbound when an eastbound Chevrolet SUV, attempting to pass another vehicle, crashed into her car. She was airlifted to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where she succumbed to her injuries. Authorities have not released further details, and the investigation is ongoing.
