60-Year-Old David Shulte Killed In Shandon, CA Accident

One man arrested in connection with the wreck

Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, January 31st in Shandon, California. 60-year-old David Alan Schulte was tragically killed in a head-on accident with a man allegedly under the influence on Highway 46. The crash occurred when a westbound GMC Yukon, driven by 44-year-old Jose T. Morales, crossed into the oncoming lane and sideswiped a Jeep Grand Cherokee pulling a utility trailer. Morales then hit Schulte’s Dodge 3500 head-on, causing it to crash through a nearby barbwire fence. Morales was arrested on charges of suspicion of driving under the influence. Schulte was tragically killed in the wreck. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
