Ms. Thompson was traveling westbound in a GMC, when she approached the intersection of Oriole Drive and was struck by a 2002 Volkswagon Beetle. The Beetle was driven by 21-year-old Nicholas James Hansen. Ms. Thompson was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
