62-Year-Old Jedd Bennett Killed In Austin, TX Accident

DUI wreck along Texas Oaks Dr.

Tragic accident that occurred on June 10th in Austin, Texas.  62-year-old Jedd Bennett died in a collision with an alleged drunken driver at Texas Oaks Drive and West Slaughter Lane. The victim had a green light in his favor when a westbound truck made a left-hand turn in front of Bennett, and the vehicles collided. Bennett was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, 20-year-old Jose Rangel Mendez, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree felony intoxication manslaughter. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
