Police cruiser strikes pedestrian

Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, December 4 in Houston, Texas. 62-year-old Michael Wayne Jackson was tragically killed after being struck by a police cruiser that was involved in a chase on Reed Street. According to initial reports a vehicle was stolen in the 3313 block of Tangerine Street. Shortly after, a pursuit began with a police cruiser and the suspected vehicle. That is when the police officer lost control and jumped a curb hitting the victim on the sidewalk. The victim tragically was pronounced dead at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
