62-Year-Old Rachel Gandel Killed In Bedford Stuyvesant, NY Accident

The crash remains under investigation

 Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, September 2nd in Bedford Stuyvesant, New York. 62-year-old Rachel Gandel was tragically killed after being hit by a flatbed truck at the intersection of Myrtle and Bedford Avenues. Gandel was with her 1-year-old niece — whom she was pushing in a baby stroller across the street — when the work truck crashed into her. Gandel was transported to Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she was tragically pronounced her dead. The girl suffered minor injuries and was transferred to Bellevue Hospital for evaluation. The crash remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
