64-Year-Old Hilton Lucas Killed In Macon, GA Accident

Hit-and-run on Wellworth Avenue

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, May 20 at around 9 PM in Macon, Georgia. 64-year-old Hilton Lucas was tragically killed after being struck by a hit and run driver near Wellworth Avenue. Mr. Lucas was walking when he was struck by a vehicle that fled after the collision. As the Sheriff's Office searched for the man, a Deputies patrol car struck him a second time. Mr. Lucas was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500, or the Georgia State Patrol at 478-993-3000. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
